The second frame reveals the Orfeo Hotel contemporary art project spaces in its most private capacity: a birthday party. It is the time of sharing, of conviviality, a common practice but how much lived actually?
The city, the birthplace, understood as the first physical and mental space in which develop their own identity. This is the first meaning of the work Private Conversation VIII.For the LAP project, Elisa Laraia, with the artist group Orfeo Hotel contemporary art project consisting of Mio D'Andrea and Monica Nicastro, elaborates six videos that open the houses of Basilicata, working once again with the concept of the transfer of private into public. The six frames extracted from the video tell the city stories about identity of Basilicata. Black silouettes leave the white background, which has always characterized the video of Private Conversation, to enter in locations strongly characterized by the identity of their occupants, and open a dialogue with the audience identity, that is the undisputed protaginist of the work. The audio that accompanies the images will be the synthesis of a series of reflections made by psychologists on the relationship that they themselves have with their bodies and their homes.
